Today I want to share a simple fall antique tv mantel that you can create with just a few pieces in your home. Oftentimes I like creating these extravagant vignettes with a lot of decor and pieces. But, simple can be just as cozy. Today I am sharing a new antique piece that I purchased for under our tv in our family room and how you can create your own version of a mantel.
I got this antique cabinet from a local antique shop because I loved the color green it was & it instantly reminded me of this cozy spot in our living room that needed a storage piece under the tv. It fit so perfectly when I got it home that I felt like it was really meant to be. Does a mantel have to be placed above a fireplace? Or can it just be a focal point in the room with an emotional core? For me…it is the latter. I love the idea of creating faux mantels with pieces that you already have or repurposing antiques. So I created a faux mantel with this antique cabinet.
I always love adding some sort of foliage to every vignette that I style. Bringing the outdoors is a great way to create cozy spaces in your home through color and texture. Because it is fall, I added some faux leaves as a garland across the top of this cabinet. I also added some other antique pieces like wooded ducks, books, a wooden stool, and a cozy pillow. The Tv Frame is from Deco TV Frames and I love the detailed and ornate look it brings to the room.
